What is it?
First I want you to do a quiz. What do you think the picture is? I’ll answer this Question later. Hints? It’s a food!
I’ll show you about the continuation of school trip story. I ate so many delicious foods in Kyusyu. What I recommend is Chinese-style hotchpotch (Chanpon), Castella, ice cream and Umegaedamochi. They were really good!
If you are non-Japanese, you might think what is Chinese-style hotchpotch –Chanpon. This is known as a popular food of Nagasaki. It is like Chinese noodle but the kind of soup and noodle are little different and has a lot of vegetable. One Chinese developed the food. He came to Nagasaki and see a lot of Chinese international student had eaten poor food. So he developed nourishing, many vegetables, bellyful of and cheep food-it is the food that is Chanpon. This is the beginning of it. If you want to try it, go to “Kouzanro” (江山楼). The restaurant provides very palatable Chanpon.
Castella is also one of the popular foods in there. The best one is Fukusaya’s. The shop keep classic way of making them that is descended from Portuguese.
How is Umegaedamoti like? It is baked rice cake that has bean jam inside. It is homely taste. Surprisingly, It has already existed since 1000 years ago. It was in “A Collection of a Myriad Leaves-Manyo-syu”!
Have you found the Answer yet? It is ice cream!! Did you think how beautiful white rose it is, didn’t you. The name is “ Chirin Chirin Ice”. Taste is lightly seasoned. It’s street food and like gelato as well as vanilla ice cream or other white meat. But it seems that not everyone selling this Ice cream can make this shape. In all ages, it costs only 100yen! Too cheep!!
Do you feel trying some these foods now? I hope you do. If you go on a trip to Nagasaki, check this page and have as a nice foods trip as I did!

Well, Go Seiba, I found this ice cream near the car park where we gathered after our free action day.
We didn't think the ice cream stand gave us such a pretty one. I think it is difficult for you (and of course for me in the next time) to find this stand because, you know, there are so many in Nagasaki city. So I'm crossing my fingers for you to find it!!
I'm so sorry Ellen! By mistaken, I delete your commemt.

That's a very cool picture. I never would have guessed that it was ice cream! I like ice cream okay, but I'm much more interested in the noodle dish, which sounds delicious! There are so many scrumptious noodle dishes available here in Japan: soba, udon, ramen, and many variations on these. I love them all! I'd like to go to Nagasaki and try real "chanpon". Thanks for the recommendations!
That's okay. Don't worry about it. :)
